class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;Defence&nbsp;Accounts&nbsp;Department&nbsp;has&nbsp;signed&nbsp;a&nbsp;MoU&nbsp;with&nbsp;Bank&nbsp;of&nbsp;Baroda&nbsp;and&nbsp;HDFC&nbsp;Bank&nbsp;to&nbsp;onboard&nbsp;them&nbsp;as&nbsp;service&nbsp;centres&nbsp;under&nbsp;the&nbsp;System&nbsp;for&nbsp;Pension&nbsp;Administration&nbsp;(Raksha)&nbsp;(SPARSH)&nbsp;project,&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;goal&nbsp;of&nbsp;providing&nbsp;last-mile&nbsp;connectivity&nbsp;to&nbsp;defence&nbsp;pensioners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;agreement&nbsp;between&nbsp;Bank&nbsp;of&nbsp;Baroda&nbsp;and&nbsp;HDFC&nbsp;Bank,&nbsp;which&nbsp;has&nbsp;7,900&nbsp;and&nbsp;6,300&nbsp;service&nbsp;centres&nbsp;respectively,&nbsp;aims&nbsp;to&nbsp;give&nbsp;last-mile&nbsp;connectivity&nbsp;to&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;who&nbsp;lack&nbsp;the&nbsp;resources&nbsp;or&nbsp;technological&nbsp;know-how&nbsp;to&nbsp;log&nbsp;on&nbsp;to&nbsp;SPARSH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The service centres will serve as a SPARSH interface for these pensioners and give them a practical way to update their personal information, file complaints and seek redress, identify themselves digitally each year, have their pensioner data verified, or simply get detailed information about their monthly pension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" complete yearly identification by February 20th, according to the MoD (Delhi) on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to information available with the defence accounts department, 3 lakh 9,000 366 defence retirees receiving their pension through SPARSH have not yet finished their Annual Identification, the ministry noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SPARSH portal allows pensioners who have finished pensioners. <strong>From only about Rs 57 crores in FY 2020\u201321 to over Rs 11,600 crores disbursed in FY 2021\u201322, it has increased rapidly.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Project SPARSH&#8217;s
